After the direct appeal fails, often people think they have to do something. They have heard that post-conviction or
habeas corpus appeals are available. While they are sometimes available, not many cases are realistically appropriate
for these further appeals.

Our firm will conduct a case review to determine (1) whether there are appealable issues for state or federal court, (2)
what the strength of these issues are, and (3) the cost in legal fees and expenses for pursuing these further appeals.
We often recommend that a family not pursue further court appeals, because the chances of success are so low that it
is a waste of money. Sometimes, however, we find cases with good habeas corpus issues. This does not guarantee
success, though, as the odds of winning a habeas corpus or post conviction case are not very good.

We understand that some families
have to try everything. In those cases, if there is anything that can be done, we will
pursue it, and our work quality will please you. The courts' decisions may not, but you will be very pleased with our work.
